Joker totally on point. Heard this dropped by Clouds the other night at BASSIC at the goodlife. Fucking class tune

No idea when this is dropping or on what, but it's a monster.

Gemmy and Joker showing how hot Bristol, UK is right now. Great to hear both these tunes on a big system in Boston on a Sunday night.

Untold - Dante/ Sweat 12"

Untold's Dante/Sweat 12" is out now on HotFlush and let me tell you, this is some next level groove. Is this dubstep, funky, minimal dub? Who knows, all I can say is that Dante is straight up BIG. The inter locking syncopated drums are indebted to Martyn and keep the tune moving while smaller nuances of heavy low rang bass and bright rim shots keep it interesting.

My biggest complaint about dubstep and funky tunes is that they go on for 2 - 3 minutes too long. While all the musical ideas could be presented in a concise manner in 3:30 mins they run to 5 1/2 to 6 mins. This doesn't hold true to this tune though, Dante clocks in at 5:12 but still manages to add new sounds and textures to engage through the duration.

If only more producers were influenced by Martyn instead of Skream, the scene would be a better place.

For fans of : 2562, Martyn, Hessle Audio

Expect this on the new Donovan Sharp mixtape. COMMING SOON!

TAKE THIS BOMB, DROP IT ON OLD HONG KONG!

A very recent discovery, Blossom Toes released two albums at the end of the 60s. The better of the two is 1969s 'If Only for a Moment'.  Sounding like a cross between Captain Beefheart with some heavy Sabbath style riffage alongside undeniable pop hooks, it's essential unheralded 60s British psychedelic stoner rock.

Check it.

peace!
